Police arrested a woman accused of murdering her father in Wagoner County, then taking off with her two children which led to an Amber Alert.
29-year-old Sabrina Spurlock is accused of shooting and killing her dad, then taking off with her two young kids. Authorities said Spurlock is now in custody in Bryan County.
Wagoner County Sheriff Chris Elliot tells News On 6 that Caddo Police arrested Spurlock just before 9 p.m. Monday and the two kids, ages eight and six, are safe.
Deputies said Spurlock shot and killed her father Monday afternoon in Rocky Point, then took her children. When deputies got to the home, they said they found Tommy Spurlock Jr. inside, shot in the chest. The deputies tried to save his life, but Tommy was pronounced at the scene.
Records show Spurlock was booked into Mayes County Jail at 8 a.m. Monday for public intoxication, and was released about an hour before the murder happened.
"We've had a tragedy, we've had a situation where there's been a death and a father who died in a shooting. We don't know what the circumstances are, and we don't know the mental state the mother is in," Sheriff Elliot said.
Investigators are still piecing this together, but now that Spurlock has been arrested in Bryan County, Sheriff Elliot said they'll be able to ask her what exactly happened at her father's house and why she took off with her kids.
This is a developing story. Stay with News On 6 tonight at 9 and 10 for the latest details.
