The University of Oklahoma has officially hired Porter Moser as the next head coach for the Sooner men's basketball team.
Moser has spent the past decade with the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers, leading them to the Final Four in 2018 and to the Sweet Sixteen in 2021, including a 71-58 win over No. 1-seeded Illinois. The Naperville, Illinois, native succeeds Lon Kruger, who had been with Oklahoma since 2011.
Kruger led the Sooners to the Final Four in 2016.
