3 Arrests Made In Tulsa's First Homicide Of 2020

Tulsa Police said Darrell Hope, 40, died after a shooting near 15th Street and Garnett. They have three people in custody in Hope's death.

Officers said just before midnight they were called to the area near 15th Street and Garnett about a body in the street. 

Tulsa Fire and EMSA responded and started CPR, then took Hope to the hospital where he later died.

Officers believe the shooting happened where they found him. Witnesses told police Hope was headed to the store to buy cigarettes. People living nearby said they heard a common outside followed by gunshots.

Police said witnesses told them they were too scared to go outside to see what happened. About half an hour later, someone walking by found Hope lying in the street, bleeding.

Officers said they knocked and doors and looked for surveillance video. They developed suspects and questioned four people. 

Thursday afternoon, police said they arrested three of those people: 23-year-old Hilary Talbert, 14-year-old Trenton Talbert and Jesse Webb, 15.
