2 Arrested, Accused Of Fentanyl Possession In Muskogee With Child Nearby

Two people accused of possessing Fentanyl in the presence of a child were arrested in Muskogee and 10 others, including police officers, were taken to the hospital for exposure as a precaution on Tuesday.

Muskogee Police said Miguel Torres and Amyllia Wilson were arrested and accused of possessing Fentanyl in the presence of a two-year-old child.

Officers responded to the Homeland store off South York Street just after noon to investigate a "suspicious individual" in a parked car.

Police said officers found Torres and Wilson with the controlled dangerous substance (CDS) with the child present.

Torres and Wilson were charged with possession of CDS and Child Endangerment, police said.

During the encounter, MPD said five civilians and five police officers were exposed to the substance and had to undergo decontamination.

Those exposed were taken to local hospitals as a precautionary measure.

Torres and Wilson were also inspected at the hospital and then taken to the county jail.
