Tulsa City Council Tours Midtown Area

The Tulsa City Council is continuing its tour of the different districts around town the city.

The city said this is a great way to show off different areas of town and to make sure all city councilors have the opportunity to learn about each district in Tulsa.

On March 9, the councilors and Mayor G.T. Bynum toured District 5 - the midtown area of Tulsa.

The group made several stops during the day, including tours of the Tulsa Honor Academy, Glacier Chocolate Factory and Climb Tulsa.

District 5 Councilor, Mykey Arthrell-Knezek, said it was a great way to show off district 5, while also discussing some of the needs of this community.

He said this opportunity is priceless.

"I can tell someone all day long about the things I want to see in the district, but to actually show them and walk through the steps that would be beneficial to our district is something that we really can't take for granted," he said.

There are nine districts in total, which the city councilors will tour.
