One of the survivors of the Tulsa Race Massacre turns 101-years-old on January 11, 2022.

Hughes Vann Ellis, who also goes by Uncle Redd, is one of three race massacre survivors who lives in Tulsa.

Last year, he went to Ghana with his sister to honor family members who have passed away.

He said this year, he is spending the day with family in Colorado.
