Final preparations are going on for the Tulsa Christmas Parade. 

Excitement is building for the longtime tradition through the streets of downtown Tulsa. The Tulsa Christmas Parade is back for its 95th year. The theme is “Making Spirits Bright.” Visitors will see marching bands and floats and even helium balloons stretching six stories tall.

A new float from Fellowship Bible Church is making its debut tomorrow. Church leaders say students will be on the float and there will be Christmas music. Dozens of volunteers spent the week working on the float. They use the massive letters that are featured to spell out messages outside the church.

"We got the idea for the letters at Watermark Church in Dallas and brought them back for an Easter two years ago. And have just started building more and more phrases, more and more letters,” said Alex Hovorka with Fellowship Bible Church.

"We're all ready to celebrate and what is better than the most wonderful time of year and spreading, seriously, Christmas cheer,” said Brett Contreras with Fellowship Bible Church.

The parade starts at 11 a.m. on Saturday, and organizers recommend getting there early to secure a spot.

It starts at 6th and Cincinnati and moves north to 4th Street. At Boston, the route moves to 3rd Street and moves east to the finish line at Cheyenne in front of Arvest Winterfest at the BOK Center. That’s where the Tulsa Christmas Parade Festival can be found with music, food trucks, and giant balloons.
