Oklahoma Methodist Manor To Change Name After 65 Years

Oklahoma Methodist Manor will be getting a new name on Tuesday after 65 years.

Oklahoma Methodist Manor is home to nearly 400 people and is located just off East 31st Street between Harvard and Yale.

Over the past three years, Oklahoma Methodist Manor has invested more than $30 million replacing its 40 assisted living apartments.

This spring, it is adding 24 memory care apartments and a 14,000 square foot Community Life Center. Alongside these big changes, the life plan community will also be getting a new name.

News On 6 got an exclusive look at some of the changes as residents and staff gathered to reveal the new signage and celebrate the new name, "Trinity Woods."

Leaders say the name celebrates an evolution from a nursing home to a Life Plan Community.

CEO Steve Dickie said the new name is all a part of a larger effort to create a culture that redefines aging.

The official reveal and celebration will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday morning.
